Have you ever been judged or criticized by someone who wasn't homeschooled, or who had prejudices against homeschoolers? What did they say, and how did you react? Do you agree or disagree that most homeschoolers are freaks (in a bad way)? Question

But yeah, this guy at my Uncle's house kept asking me questions in this condescending way about being homeschooled and if I had "friends" and what I did for fun and junk. It was so annoying! Evil or Very Mad

No, because I didn't know you when it happened. Very Happy Plus, there were some people in our Sunday School when we first started going that kind of looked down on us like we were stupid because we are homeschooled. Most of them act the complete opposite now, which is good. Smile

Oh, and why do you always quote what the person said previously in your responses?

Im just used to quoting people, because on the myspace forums you have to quote or no one will know who you're talking to. I do it out of habit.

Yea, I've been criticized by this cousin, a dozen public schoolers, and a few private. I never really paid attention. I like homeschooling, but I realize it doesn't work for some people. One system isn't better than the other. I've been able to shut down criticism fairly easy though.

You have a good point. It shouldn't matter what school you go to (or don't go to), everybody should be treated with respect, just because they're a creation of God. I think a lot of homeschoolers are just as much to blame for prejudice as public-schoolers are.

I've had more social time and friends in homeschooling than in public school. I have learned more positive social tendancies as well. I hate the people that stereotype. Okay, maybe not hate, but I don't " appreciate" those people.

We all just need to be flower children, and loooove each other guys! lol. I dont recall not liking any public schoolers for where they go to school. After all, Luke isn't one of "us" anymore.

Flower children... Rolling Eyes That's a unique way to put it. Anyway, I think either school system works fine. It just depends on what the student needs.

In retrospective, Flower children sounds pretty gay.

Anyways, every person learns differently so I agree. What ever best suits the student needs, is which enviroment the student should be place in to learn.
