Homeschool Hatin'
Have you ever been judged or criticized by someone who wasn't homeschooled, or who had prejudices against homeschoolers? What did they say, and how did you react? Do you agree or disagree that most homeschoolers are freaks (in a bad way)?
Re: Homeschool Hatin'
Not to my knowledge lol, but now i'm only half kinda home schooled because I do my work online from a school in New York.
Re: Homeschool Hatin'
People don't talk to me They give me looks that make me want to get in the school system so i can take a gun to school!

But yeah, this guy at my Uncle's house kept asking me questions in this condescending way about being homeschooled and if I had "friends" and what I did for fun and junk. It was so annoying!

Did you tell him that for fun you hang out with the most stunning guy in the world *poses*
Re: Homeschool Hatin'
No, because I didn't know you when it happened. Plus, there were some people in our Sunday School when we first started going that kind of looked down on us like we were stupid because we are homeschooled. Most of them act the complete opposite now, which is good.
Re: Homeschool Hatin'
Oh, and why do you always quote what the person said previously in your responses?
Re: Homeschool Hatin'
Im just used to quoting people, because on the myspace forums you have to quote or no one will know who you're talking to. I do it out of habit.
Re: Homeschool Hatin'
Yea, I've been criticized by this cousin, a dozen public schoolers, and a few private. I never really paid attention. I like homeschooling, but I realize it doesn't work for some people. One system isn't better than the other. I've been able to shut down criticism fairly easy though.

What about public school hating? I've heard homeschoolers make fun of public schoolers.

Re: Homeschool Hatin'
You have a good point. It shouldn't matter what school you go to (or don't go to), everybody should be treated with respect, just because they're a creation of God. I think a lot of homeschoolers are just as much to blame for prejudice as public-schoolers are.
Re: Homeschool Hatin'
I've had more social time and friends in homeschooling than in public school. I have learned more positive social tendancies as well. I hate the people that stereotype. Okay, maybe not hate, but I don't " appreciate" those people.

We all just need to be flower children, and loooove each other guys! lol. I dont recall not liking any public schoolers for where they go to school. After all, Luke isn't one of "us" anymore.
Re: Homeschool Hatin'
Flower children... That's a unique way to put it. Anyway, I think either school system works fine. It just depends on what the student needs.

In retrospective, Flower children sounds pretty gay.

Anyways, every person learns differently so I agree. What ever best suits the student needs, is which enviroment the student should be place in to learn.
