American Idiot

Hey, this has come up recently with a few acquaintances of mine. The song "American Idiot" by Green Day-- Anti-America or Anti-Media? I think Green Day's politics differ with most of ours, but that wouldn't change the message of the song. American Idiot seems to be Anti-Media to me, but I wanted to know if some of y'all thought differently and why.

American Idiot is probably one of the best albums from this decade.

Deffinitly Anti-Media. At a concert I went to I heard them say that they weren't Anti-American, they were anti-war.

I'm not pro-war. I actually agreed with the Anti-media message. The media gets waay too much say in things.

Oh yeah. People rely way to much on what they read or hear on tv or the newspapers. I have a friend that's not allowed to drink energy drinks now, because his mom read that this guy died from his heart beating too fast from Red Bull. She failed to look at the editor's note that said the man had heart problems to begin with anyways.

Amen. You can hardly trust anything you read in the papers or see on tv anymore. Even the history channel is failing us.
